Deffet Group, Inc. is pleased to have been retained by Illuminus to conduct an executive search for an Executive Director of The Marquardt.
The Marquardt, the flagship campus of Illuminus, located in Watertown, Wisconsin, was established in 1969, and has consistently raised the bar for senior living in Wisconsin. Surrounded by 52 acres of lush greenery and spanning the whole continuum of care, The Marquardt offers beautiful garden homes where residents can enjoy the convenience of maintenance-free living, Park Center Home apartments close to the Towne Centre’s amenities and activities, assisted living, and also skilled nursing and rehabilitation options. It’s more than just a residence – it’s a sanctuary of boundless possibilities, with Riverside Park just a stone's throw away and the vibrant cities of Madison and Milwaukee within easy reach. Served by nearly 500 employees, the campus is home to approximately 400 residents.
Illuminus is seeking an Executive Director (ED) to lead the community in meeting the needs of the next generation. Reporting to the President, this individual will be a hands-on, articulate leader with a deep passion for senior living and proven ability in developing and implementing strategic plans. They will be responsible for the overall strategic and operational leadership of The Marquardt community, ensuring excellence in resident care, regulatory compliance, team member engagement, and financial stewardship. Through a respectful, constructive, and energetic leadership style, the role provides the leadership, management, and the vision necessary to ensure the strategic direction of the community and the achievement of operational excellence.
The successful candidate for this position will have a preferred minimum of five to eight years of experience in an executive capacity in a hospital or Senior Living organization with a proven track record of success. A Nursing Home Administrator’s license in Wisconsin is preferred, or a willingness to obtain full licensure after hire. The candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with a degree in Public Health Administration, Business Administration or a degree in health-related field preferred.
