Human Resources Director (HR Director) – Healthcare / Skilled Nursing

The campus consists of four neighborhoods, up to three houses per neighborhood, and each house accommodates up to 14 eligible residents all with privte bedrooms and bathrooms..
Oregon Veterans Home – Lebanon is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director (HR Director) to lead HR operations in a skilled nursing / long-term care environment. This role oversees HR compliance, employee relations, labor relations, benefits administration, and leave management (FMLA/OFLA) in a unionized healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of Human Resources management, including employee relations and HR compliance
Manage FMLA, OFLA, and Workers’ Compensation programs
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including EEOC, ADA, BOLI, and Oregon labor regulations
Partner with leadership on performance management, employee engagement, and retention
Support labor relations and union collaboration, including contract interpretation
Oversee benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, 401k)
Maintain HR records and ensure confidentiality and regulatory compliance

Requirements
Qualifications
3+ years of HR management or HR leadership experience
Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred
Experience working in a union environment / labor relations
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, OFLA, Workers’ Compensation, EEOC, and BOLI
Bachelor’s degree preferred
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred
