PRACTICE INFORMATION

Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah is seeking a full-time BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist.  The successful candidate will join an established team of heart failure/transplant cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and cardiac intensivists with an exceptional multidisciplinary working relationship.

The heart transplant program is an integral member of the Utah Transplantation Affiliated Hospitals (U.T.A.H.) Cardiac Transplant Program consortium since its inception in 1985.

Our growing heart failure clinic is one of the busiest in the U.S. with over 7,500 annual patient visits.  The service is supported by fifteen advanced practice providers, ten nurse coordinators, a full-time pharmacist as part of our multidisciplinary team.  Clinical inpatient and outpatient duties will focus on a full spectrum of management modalities for advanced heart failure including VADs, the total artificial heart, and transplantation.  Non-clinical protected time is available for candidates with research interest or potential.  The recruited candidate will be expected to participate in activities that enhance program development and education programs.

Intermountain Heart Institute is the premier heart program in the Intermountain West with 46 employed highly-specialized experts in all areas of cardiac care.  Our program is actively involved in cardiac research and has achieved national/international preeminence in various fields with 176 presented abstracts and 173 peer-reviewed publications just in the last three years (IntermountainHeartInstitute.org).

REQUIREMENTS

• Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology
• Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
• U.S. ACGME Residency
