Position Summary
The Associate Director reports to the Executive Director and provides leadership across resident-facing programs and services. This role supports daily operations, drives strategic initiatives, and partners with leaders across the organization to ensure exceptional resident experiences and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and support leaders and team members
- Set clear expectations and promote accountability
- Foster a collaborative, service-driven culture
Resident Experience
- Build strong relationships with residents and families
- Address concerns proactively and professionally
- Partner with teams to enhance programs and services
Resident Communication & Engagement
- Oversee resident communications and publications
- Serve as a liaison to resident committees and the Resident Association
Operations, Planning & Budgeting
- Support budgeting and financial oversight
- Contribute to strategic planning and key initiatives
- Assist with special projects and operational improvements
Transitions & Move Management
- Ensure a smooth, compassionate move-in and move-out experience
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
Partnerships & Community Presence
- Build relationships with vendors, community partners, and prospective residents
- Support events, outreach, and marketing efforts
Compliance & Quality
- Uphold policies, Code of Conduct, and Resident Rights
- Support regulatory compliance and quality initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams and service providers to support resident well-being

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- NC Nursing Home Administrator’s License preferred (current or past)
- Progressive leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or similar environment
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills
- Experience with budgeting, planning, and operational oversight
- Ability to work effectively in a regulated environment
