Our client, Lift Cancer Care Services is a purpose-built oncology service operating as both an accredited day hospital and a multidisciplinary allied health clinic. They deliver Exercise Medicine, Physiotherapy, Lymphoedema Services, Dietetics and Psychology through a world-leading, integrated model of care.
Lift is recognised as a leader in oncology exercise medicine - delivering evidence-based treatment to people living with cancer in a fast-paced, high-performance clinical environment.
Now, we’re looking for an Exercise Medicine Team Lead to help scale this model and lead from the front.
This is not a typical leadership role
At Lift, exercise is not positioned as rehabilitation - it is delivered as treatment, alongside chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery.

About the Role
As Exercise Medicine Team Lead, you will report to the Director of Oncology and play a key role in:
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists
- Driving clinical quality, consistency, and performance
- Supporting the operations of a high-volume, hospital-grade service
- Contributing to the evolution of an innovative cancer care model
This role is ideal for someone who wants to lead, think critically, and shape the future of healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
- Drive high standards of care and clinical consistency
- Mentor and develop team members
- Monitor performance and support continuous improvement
- Lead onboarding and competency development
Team Leadership & Culture
- Foster a high-performing, connected, values-driven team
- Be a visible and supportive leader on the clinical floor
- Drive engagement, communication, and development
Operational Excellence
- Support rostering, patient flow, and service delivery
- Monitor key performance metrics
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with admin and leadership teams
Patient Experience & Access
- Support patient engagement in Exercise Medicine treatment
- Ensure accessibility and continuity of care
- Use patient feedback to enhance service delivery
Service Development
- Contribute to the growth of Lift’s Exercise Medicine model
- Translate emerging evidence into clinical practice
- Help shape the future of cancer care in Australia
About You
You are:
- A Physiotherapist or Accredited Exercise Physiologist
- An experienced clinician with strong clinical foundations
- An emerging or established leader
- Confident managing complexity and making decisions
- Organised, accountable, and proactive
- Driven by purpose and impact
