- President, SeniorCare Network
Description
Deffet Group, Inc. is pleased to have been retained by Presbyterian SeniorCare Network (PSCN) to conduct an executive search for a President of SeniorCare Network (SCN).
Since its inception in 1928, Presbyterian SeniorCare Network’s faith-based roots have guided its calling to build a complete Network of interconnected living, services and care options. Today, PSCN is the largest eldercare provider in the Pittsburgh area and one of the largest not-for-profit multi-site senior living organizations in the U.S., serving over 8,000 senior adults and their families across ten counties in Pennsylvania. Guided by its mission of “Making Aging Easier ®,” PSCN’s 2,200 dedicated and passionate team members provide a continuum of care at more than 60 communities with services including Independent Living, Personal Care, Assisted Living, Dementia Care, Short-Term Rehabilitation, Long-Term Skilled Nursing, Affordable Housing, Adult Day Care and In-Home Care. Its Home and Community-Based services include Dementia360, Envisage, and traditional Home Health. PSCN also provides management services to local senior living providers on a contracted basis.
Reporting to and in collaboration with the CEO, the President of SCN will work closely with the PSCN (parent) Board and the SCN board and lead several key operational areas and initiatives including seven workstream initiatives, LEANforward program, affordable housing portfolio and select development projects. They will guide and support quality improvement and other areas as assigned to gain a broad exposure to Presbyterian SeniorCare Network’s scope of services. This position is designed to be the successor for the current President and CEO of Presbyterian SeniorCare Network when he retires in the first quarter of 2028.
The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree, with a master’s degree preferred, and at least fifteen years of experience in long-term care or healthcare, including ten years in a senior executive capacity. They will demonstrate progressive leadership experience encompassing budgeting, program development, performance management, and staff oversight, along with experience in advocacy, government relations, and board reporting. They will be a forward-thinking leader who will envision new possibilities for senior living services and pursue creative growth opportunities beyond traditional construction and acquisitions. Our finalist will be a compassionate servant leader and true collaborator who connects people and ideas while upholding the Network’s vision, mission, and faith-based values.
This is an outstanding opportunity to prepare to lead one of the country’s premiere multi-site organizations and build upon its outstanding reputation for adhering to its values and distinct person-centered philosophy, providing an inclusive culture where residents, families and team members of diverse backgrounds feel truly cared for and welcomed.
